Warehouse Faux Fur Collar Trim Jacket * / FAIIINT Splice Tank Top / H&M Skirt / Mulberry ‘Mabel’ Bag / F&F Leather Boots
This is the first time we’ve used my camera for an outfit post, I don’t know why but I’ve always been worried the photos wouldn’t be as nice as they are with the main camera. It’s silly, because it’s not like my camera is rubbish or cheap, and it’s so much smaller & lighter to carry around too, I think we’ll definitely start using it more. Ollie wasn’t free, so I roped my Grom into taking these and I think they turned out pretty well, considering it was her first time too! She’s now making me call her Mavis ‘David’ Bailey though!
I’m staying true to my word & introducing little bits of burgundy into my wardrobe, as I said I finally would in my fashion resolutions post and the detachable fur collar on this Warehouse jacket was the perfect start. I was surprised to find this jacket is actually faux leather, I’m usually a bit of a snob about faux, but this is supple yet heavy & with a wonderful pebbled texture. It looks expensive, and pretty realistic too. All of the nice little details like the quilted sleeve cuffs, heavy zippers & chunky stitching, really help elevate it above the usual offerings on the high street too, especially for this kind of price.
Another thing that’s surprised me this week is these ankle boots from F&F at Tesco. I’ve been looking for a good basic, comfy pair of ankle boots that will go with everything for ages now, so when I saw these in a nice thick real leather for £45 I ordered them immediately, but half expected for them to arrive & not be as nice as I’d hoped, the price seemed too good to be true. When they did arrive, they were perfect! The best part, unlike the many more expensive versions of this type of boot I’ve tried on in the past, these have a very generous wide fit and so even with my big wide feet there’s not even a little pinching making them the comfiest I’ve tried. I can’t wait to break them in & scuff them up a bit, I always think boots like this look better a little worn & loved.

I love burgundy and oxblood in winter. I have an Alexander McQueen leather skirt in oxblood that I got as an amazing sample sale bargain, and I live in it when it’s cold!
