Top : Princesse Tam Tam ‘Espionne’ Underwire Bra *
Bottom : Princesse Tam Tam ‘Adelie’ Bustier * / ASOS Kimono
I’ve never been one to feel embarrassed about people seeing me in my underwear, most of my friends have probably seen me running around in my bra (or less, thanks to the now infamous Lady Gaga Halloween outfit!) more times than they care to think about & I’ll often say that given the choice I’d choose no clothes over going makeup-less. For someone with such insecurities about their face, I guess it’s kind of weird that I’m totally comfortable with my body.
I won’t lie though, I did debate whether I ought to post these, not because it made me uncomfortable but because I wondered if they were appropriate for the blog or if it may come across as a little trashy. Being soft cup bras though, the fact is shooting them flat really couldn’t show off just how gorgeous they are (we did try!) & it seemed like a waste of a beautiful product to not do them justice. We tried to shoot them in as natural a way as possible, to give more of a casual, out-take kind of vibe instead of looking too posed or sexy, so hopefully they come across that way. As I say with all of my outfit posts, which is why I’m often in the exact same pose – it’s not about me, it’s purely about showing off the clothes & I see this as being no different. I’ve always wondered why underwear photos are seen as so taboo though, I mean, so many girls happily post up photos of themselves in bikinis on holidays, or super cropped tops that are just as revealing as underwear, so what’s the difference other than what we call it? I think as long as you’re comfortable, why should a little flesh bother anyone else?
Princesse Tam Tam is one of my favourite brands when it comes to underwear, they make the best triangle & soft cup bras hitting that perfect balance between being comfortable, practical & pretty. These two sets are no different either, made from beautiful, soft fabrics in classic shapes they’re unfussy enough to wear everyday, yet the little details like a ruffled trim or spotty mesh give them a playful edge & make them so much more than just your everyday bras. I love that as a brand their bras are always a very flattering cut for small busts like mine too, something which is becoming harder & harder to find in UK stores as they all now seem to be targeted towards a more standard, fuller chest. Thank god for the French!

Those photos are absolutely beautiful. I’ve never heard of Princesse Tam Tam but I’m small-chested too and always struggle to find nice underwear because everything in the shops seems to be ‘Kelly Brook DD-G cup’

Love the pictures and the bras, and they don’t look trashy at all, au contraire, very classy and sophisticated.
I’m ok with pics like these, you can tell in one sec when the photos look tacky, but these don’t, honestly.
I am not comfortable posting pictures in bikini, even less in underwear, but I am happy to run around nakes in the beach, among friends or in the changing rooms in the gym…

These photos are so beautiful and classy! I agree, underwear photos are no different to bikini pics. These are so pretty, I find it so hard finding bras that I like! The second one is particularly nice and the first looks super comfy xxx

Sigh……wish my chest wasn’t so ginormous….hate it! Bras like this always look so elegant and delicate and I wish I could wear them.

Did you say smaller chest! Ok I am on these guys and damn, this makes me love the French even more! I have smallish boobs and broad shoulders (curse my mother!) so my bra cups are always a little big. Suppose I don’t really mind, it makes them look bigger though at times I want to wear something with way less padding but they sit funny on me because of that. I love these photos, they’re very ‘tasteful’ and quite beautiful in an artistic way. I don’t know why people shun away from these kind of posts, then again I can’t imagine they’d be able to capture and create the moment quite like you guys did. I think for most it would come across as soft porn lol! Because they’d insist on adding their faces and all. Then again, I could be wrong at that too.
BTW I’d choose clothes over no make up! I guess I have more of a body issue than being seen sans make-up, which I have also done, numerous times at that lol!

Gorgeous! And I totally agree with you – why is it such a taboo to show your underwear, or your body? I’ve been considering doing a post like this for a while now, thanks for giving me the push I needed :) x

holy smoking! i honestly thought these were product shots from the website, until i read the post. these are so tasteful and well done, i can hardly see why there was an inner debate!
this brand looks like it’s a reasonable price point too, (i’m not quite in the +$150 range yet) i’ve been seeing another soft bra brand called baserange i’m currently coveting, they have extremely basic, ultra-comfy looking pieces.

I couldn’t scroll through your previous blog posts that I missed without stopping to comment on this one. You’ve done such a great job of making these photos classy and beautiful Steph. The subtle hues and soft, natural feel is something a lot of underwear models/photographers should take on board and aim for, these could have come straight out of a lookbook or magazine. I’ll have to investigate Princesse Tam Tam further, I’ve not really come across this brand before but being a smaller size myself it’s always nice to find a new brand who cater for us smaller ladies! xxx
