This is the second outfit from my ‘7 Days With StylistPick‘ challenge. We spent the day doing a little shopping & I also thought it’d be the perfect way to really put the boots to the test in terms of comfort. I’m happy to report that after a few hours of shopping they were still super comfortable, I think this is mostly down to the chunky shape, thick platform & nice wide fit. I’m used to walking around in heels all day, but it’s rare to find a pair of this height that are still comfortable after almost a whole day of walking, so I’m really quite impressed!

A day of shopping calls for a simple outfit that’s easy to keep getting changed out of when trying things on, so I went for a really basic look – tee & a skirt, plus my trusty snood for a little extra warmth.

This ribcage tee from AY Not Dead is one of my favourites & it adds a nice bit of interest to what would otherwise be quite a plain outfit. I’d never heard of the brand before but came across it in the ASOS sale last year, you all know how much I love anything anatomy related, so of course I had to have it! I just love the messy, painterly print & I can never get enough of charcoal grey tees. I haven’t seen the brand on ASOS since though, which is a real shame as looking through their current lookbook there are loads of pieces I’d buy in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, I can’t seem to find anywhere to buy online though! If you happen to know of somewhere, please let me know!

Last week I got an email from StylistPick asking me if I’d like to take part in their ‘7 Days with Stylistpick’ challenge. I’m never one to back down from a challenge, so of course I accepted! My task is to wear one pair of shoes for 7 days & document each outfit with photos & a mini video diary.

I decided to choose the beautiful ‘Eleonora’ boots. Yes, I’m predictable, they’re chunky black boots & I know I could have chosen something a bit more ‘exciting’ but I fell in love & had to have them! The shape is perfection & one of my favourite ways to keep an all black outfit interesting is by mixing textures, so the fuzzy velvet covering them is perfect for this (I can’t stop stroking them either!)

I’ve been getting a little obsessed with coats recently, even though I’m not much of a coat person, I usually prefer to just layer up knits & jackets once it gets cold. I blame walking past the AllSaints windows, I want every single coat on display! I must resist though, I’m trying to save up for the Margiela x H&M collaboration.

In an attempt to stop myself pining for an AllSaints coat I decided to dig out my old Topshop one, I’ve had this coat for about 5 years now & it is still the only winter coat I own. I think you can never go wrong with a trench coat though, it’s such a versatile & classic piece, and one in thick, heavy wool is just perfect for winter & so cosy too. Wearing it undone gives a casual, slouchy look & buttoned all the way to the top it has a military kind of smartness to it, I really love hard working pieces like this that can achieve so many different looks depending on how they’re worn. To be honest, I had forgotten how nice it is, maybe I don’t need a new one after all…

Firstly, sorry for the lack of outfit posts this week, I’ve had a bit of a cold & have been looking quite a mess – think squinty eyes & a puffy face from swollen sinuses! Nice! I have also spent most of the week laying around feeling sorry for myself in my One-Piece, so hardly outfit post appropriate!

I’ve been meaning to post this editorial since I came across it in 10 Magazine last week, it’s been a while since an editorial stopped me dead in my tracks, but this one did just that. The editorials in all the big fashion magazines recently have had me skimming past them, leaving me feeling so uninspired, which made this one stand out for it’s beauty even more. Has anyone else had that recently?

Gregory Harris’s use of lighting here is just beautiful though, combined with the retro styling that still feels super modern, the moody atmosphere & the lovely Candice Swanepoel, it’s utter perfection & it’s no surprise that it stood out to me.
