Blank, Pristine, White Space

Its always the most awkward to finally put something down when everythings so pristine & unmarked, It seems the same with everything, sketchbooks I have to scribble and doodle on the first blank page to let myself feel free to let loose and be my scruffy self on the rest of the pages, even new notebooks or diaries, I scrawl random words and thoughts just to get the first clean page out of the way with. Its just so, intimidating…

So, I am getting this first post out of the way with to get rid of the intimidating blank, pristine, white space! I’m aware this makes me sound like a bit of a nutter, but I’m sure there are others, probably other scruffy, creative types, who totally get what I’m talking about. I hope? Yeah, I’m sure there is!

The blog is basically going to be my place to pour out all my inspirations / obsessions / outfits / DIY & projects, mostly for my own benefit, as a way of collecting all these things for future reference, before they fall out of my head! And also to just generally show off anything I’m particularly proud of creating, hopefully as a way to encourage myself to sew more, DIY more & sketch more, like I’ve been saying I would for the past, oh, god knows how many years.

In the next couple of weeks I’ve got quite a few little projects I’ll be posting up, leggings, a draped leather jacket I’m particularly pleased with, some salvaged Ebay shoes DIY, maybe a few illustrations & I’m going to try to do some outfit posts too, I’m pretty awkward infront of a camera, but I think it’s a great way to keep yourself constantly evolving style wise, and I’m kinda stuck in a style rut at the moment, so I’m going to try & rise to the challenge! But bare with me on this!
